My *2011 EMMY AWARDS* Hopes and Predictions - Drama

Posted on 15:40 by Unknown
Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series:

Nominees:

  • Elizabeth Moss (Mad Men)
  • Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights)
  • Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order: SVU)
  • Mireille Enos (The Killing)
  • Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife)
  • Kathy Bates (Harry's Law)
Who I want to win:
Mireille Enos, Anyone who watched The Killing cant really dispute that Mireille didn't bring it, however she is in a very tough category, I would say she is the underdog, which makes me root for her even more.

Prediction on who will win:
Kathy Bates, even though Harry's Law isn't really worth of EMMY interest Kathy Bates sure is and an actress alone I'd be happy with her taking it, I just wish it could be for an actually good role.

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series:

Nominees:
  • Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire)
  • Michael C Hall (Dexter)
  • Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights)
  • Jon Hamm (Mad Men)
  • Hugh Laurie (House)
  • Timothy Olyphant (Justified)
Who I want to win:
Michael C Hall, He is brilliant as Dexter and has a good year as him, although wouldn't mind Steve Buscemi win as well.

Prediction on who will win:
Jon Hamm, the EMMY's love him and Mad Men so I will be shocked if he doesn't win.

Supporting Actress In A Drama Series:

Nominees:
  • Kelly Macdonald (Boardwalk Empire)
  • Christina Hendricks (Mad Men)
  • Michelle Forbes (The Killing)
  • Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife)
  • Margo Martindale (Justified)
  • Christine Barainski (The Good Wife)

 Who I want to win:
Christine Baranski, I love her as Diane on the The Good Wife, its got such a great cast but I would like to see Christine honoured this year.

Prediction on who will win:
Christina Hendricks, like I said the EMMYs love Mad Men as do the critics I think this is between her and Margo Matindale the Justified

Supporting Actor In A Drama Series:

Nominees:
  • John Slattery (Mad Men)
  • Andre Braugher (Men of a Certain Age)
  • Walter Goggins (Justified)
  • Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones)
  • Josh Charles (The Good Wife)
  • Alan Cumming (The Good Wife)

Who I want to win:
Alan Cumming, Ive always loved Alan Cumming but he is brilliant as Eli and I think he does deserve the EMMY as well, there isn't anyone really in this category I would like to see win this.

Prediction on who will win:
John Slattery, yes I know I am picking yet another Mad Men actor but like Ive said everyone seems to love Mad Men.

Outstanding Drama Series:

Nominees:
  • Boardwalk Empire
  • The Good Wife
  • Friday Night Lights
  • Mad Men
  • Dexter
  • Game of Thrones

What I would like to win:
The Good Wife, I would like this or Friday Night Lights to win.  Show some love for the Network shows rather than cable.

Prediction on what will win:
Boardwalk Empire, its the time of the show that EMMY's love give the award to, its a good show so I'd be happy if it wins.
